Portland police pulled over director Gus Van Sant, 54, in December 1996 after noticing his headlights were off at night. After failing sobriety tests (a breath test showed a BAC of 0.19%, more than twice the state’s legal limit), he was arrested and charged with drunk driving. Sant was then booked into the Multnomah County jail, where he posed for the mug shot below. The Portland resident was best known for directing Good Will Hunting, in 1997.
