Portland police pulled over director Gus Van Sant, 54, in December 1996 after noticing his headlights were off at night. After failing sobriety tests (a breath test showed a BAC of 0.19%, more than twice the state's legal limit), he was arrested and charged with drunk driving. Sant was then booked into the Multnomah County jail, where he posed for the mug shot below. The Portland resident was best known for directing Good Will Hunting, in 1997.

Katherine Lambeth, 50, of Cloverhill Drive allowed a man named "G" to borrow her 1980 Oldsmobile, Officer Shawn Haney reported. In exchange, she received from him $50 worth of crack cocaine and a promise to return the car by 5 p.m. last Saturday. When he didn't return the car as promised, she reported her car missing Monday. The car is valued at $1,500.

Christian Slater

Christian Slater was arrested by authorities at New York's JFK Airport in December 1994. He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, and through a plea agreement, was sentenced to community service. Slater was arrested again in New York City in May 1995 and charged with sexual harassment after grabbing a woman's behind as he walked down the street. Slater was allegedly intoxicated at the time of the incident.
